Florida's season ends with loss to Nebraska

The University of Florida's volleyball season came to a close today; the #1 seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers now advance to the Final Four after sweeping the Gators (26-30, 24-30, 16-30) in front of over 15,000 fans at the Qwest Center - the largest crowd to ever watch a NCAA Women's Volleyball match.

The Big Red were led by Christina Houghtelling: 18 kills off .615 hitting percentage. In addition, she was part of 5 of the 14 total blocks Nebraska put up, numbers that were just too much to overcome. The Gators kept it close in games one and two, but were unable to break free in the third stanza.

Back home, around 75 fans were on hand to watch the contest at Beef O'Bradys. The Gator Attack Club would like to thank the managers and staff for hosting several of our "away match parties" - this was by far our largest gathering yet as both sides of the restaurant were filled with the orange and blue. Thanks for all of your support!
