Jane Collymore earns SEC Player of the Week

University of Florida senior outside hitter Jane Collymore was named the Southeastern Conference Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.
Collymore led the Gators (12-1, 2-0) to a pair of conference opening wins at Mississippi State and Mississippi last weekend. She upped her seasonal averages in kills per game, aces per game, digs per game and points per game during the week and finished with her 36th career double-double at Mississippi State with 19 kills and 19 digs and moved into fifth place all-time in kills in UF history vs. Mississippi with 1,279. Her 19 digs vs. the Bulldogs was just two shy of her career high and the 42nd time in her career she reached double figures in digs. She followed with a solid all-around performance at Mississippi with 14 kills on .375 hitting with eight digs and two aces. She leads the Gators in kills per game (4.30), points per game (5.28) and aces per game (0.60) and is second in digs per game (3.09).
